Probably late on the post but I wouldn't change the red/clear that is what I want for my eg. Anyway I would go WAY lighter than the above picture to keep alittle of the red tint or just do the clear. It is my opinion but that is what I would do.

i think tinting them is illegal, but even if it isnt, its still a good way to get pulled over, jsut get black housing lights

 

Tinting is different in each state. Its legal in my state. I have tinted OEMs and would never trade them for black housing tails.

 

as long as you can still visably see the light when their on, you shouldnt have a prob

 

i think they look more clean with the nightshade. my neighbor just finished doing that to his tails and darkened the white and red.
