Headlights 96-98 civic???
after further investigation of my headlights i have decided that they r not easy to get off. I was wondering if this is true id imagine it has somethin to do with the year so mines a 97....does it mean ill havta take off the front bumper to gain access to the bolts that connect it to the car??? i cant see any otherwise but something is still holding them in...plz respond if you have changed urs in a similar year car lol also tell me if u got some time saving tricks thanx alot
Yes you have to take off the front bumper.
Raise it and support it on jack stands. Then take off the front bumper. There are a bunch of little clips along the top of the bumper. over the grill and one on either side of the grille. now in each wheel well there is one screw right where the bumer and the fender meet. Then there is one ((mabey two)) bolts under the bumper. That gets the buper cover off.
Now here are some pics of the headlights:
The screw in the wheel well is right where the turn signal and the fender meet. Also do you see the empty hole just to the rear of the headlight? That has a screw that holds the light as well.

Do you see the bolt on the headlight, and the U shaped clip? When the head light is installed they are together and it holds the light in.

Just another angle.

This is it back in place.

Good luck with it. Hope these help. PM me if you have any questions.
