Can anyone direct me to a place other than midas i might be able to get my car painted cheaply, but still get a good job out of it? Looking for Black or gunmetal.

 

well before the other come in here and tell you this "you get what you pay for" especially with paint. Save up the money an go with a complete high quality paint job, don't get that cheap ****, unless you don't want a nice looking coat. But anyways dont know where to go to get a good paint job.

 

well i live in ny and i go to shea stadium where the junk yard is, some places offer some good paint jobs for cheap thats where im getting my paint job, u might want to look into it

 

I woukd ask around and see what places charge.Are you going to completely chanje the color?

 

It's going to be difficult for us to advise you being in different states and locations. Best you can do is call around, get some quotes and ask to see some of their work. Inspect it and see if it meets your standards. Ask to see more than one car because a different painter could have done it and that varies as well. Check enough to see whether you can determine if their results are consistent with each vehicle. Good luck...

 

try to find out of people who have been doing it all there life from there back yard, theres someone like that in every town, no one really knows about them but they do a amazing job..just ask around local forums

 

im going to try the sponsorship route up here. i might have some luck. thanks for the advice. i will also keep that in mind. I am broke, and have done some looking around found a guy that does this stuff on the side and has done it his whole life, really good, but he wants 8 g's for a paint job, and i might make that in 8 months, excluding bills. we shall see.

 

paintjobs all vary from shop to shop, as well as their prices, so there is no real answer.

 

Not to be picky, but did you just say Midas does paint jobs...isn't that a muffler place? Anyway, if somebody wants to charge you 8K for a paint job, unless its gonna be bulletproof...and its not...then walk away.
