Default Help Wiring HID lights

I got some cheapo ebay hid lights but i dont know how to wire them, I got the ballast all wired up but to connect it to the car it only has one red wire and one black wire, I wanted to tap another wire into the red wire and plug it into the car that way, but i wasnt sure if that was safe, anyone know? The two wires are at the top of the pic.
P.S. on the second pic, is that the bulb or is it missing the bulb? I had another type of hid bulb in there before and it had a small bulb next to that vaccum tube thing.

The red wire goes to the where you normally put you stock bulb into. The black is ground. You should have these wires already on your car. Just take out the stock bulb and look at the connections.

So, for the red wire, pretend that there is a bulb attached to the end of the red wire. Prentend that the red wire is your stock bulb. So, where do you plug the stock bulb into? That's where the red wire goes. You'll also see a ground wire when you have the bulb out.

Yeah problem is that there are threee holes on the car harness. one for ground one for low beams and one for high beams. I tried plugging thee negative and then only the low beams but it doesnt work, i also tried the negative and the high beams but its not working. I eveen tried to plug an extra wire to connect both the low and high beams toghether but it still didnt light up. I tested it with the battery and the bulbs work perfectly.

check to see if you blew a fuse. I'm assuming you're installing just for low beam?

look at the wires in the stock plug, you should see a black one (at least i did in my car) which is ground, and i think the one right next to it is the positive for the low beam

please correct me if i'm wrong
