HID/Headlight question

Default HID/Headlight question

Hey guys i am about to buy dual halo projector headlights from k2motor.com and i was just wondering if i am going to have to buy an HID kit or if I can just HID bulbs

you need to buy the HID kit. the bulbs that come with the headlights are halogen bulbs i believe. but HIDs in projectors scatter the light. alot of people dont like them. your better off buying a decent set of halogen bulbs.

but the headlight i buy will be set up for an HID kit right?

No, projectors stop the light from scattering. The OEM reflector housing in stock headlights will scatter light, thus the reason why people buy projector headlights or do a retrofit.

How about you post a link to the headlights you want. Kinda hard to know what headlights you are referring to.

Chances are they are just halogen projectors, To do it right you need to use real OEM projectors from like a TSX or something.

Check out http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/ for info on how to do it right..

those lights are meant for regular halogen bulbs even though they are projectors, they are not meant for HID's. Just keep you OEM lights as they look better than those crappy lights and if aimed properly and you use the casper shield you can eliminate most if not all the glare, it just takes time.
