I have them in my truck, and have never had anyone flash me (stock housing). I can't imagine they will blind anyone in a civic 2 feet closer to the ground. If you need to, just aim them down a little.

Yeah they flash me so I just lowered the beam down a little bit... the HIDs still flood the road with light so you could aim them straight down and you'd see a mile ahead of you.

ok i have another question about HID's, when you have the stock assembly u only have one bulb which has the high and low beam already, when u replace it for an HID do you only have a low beam now and no high, how would that pass inspection with no high

They do where i live.

You can get Bixenon but as stated they do cost more, there is also Hi/Low HID's that have a Halogen highbeam (which sucks ***) but it is enough to pass inspection.
I am starting to not really recomend HID kits though, mainly cause of the horid beam pattern, the only way to get true HID is to do a retrofit.

has anyone installed some pnp HIDs on an 8th gen civic? i'm looking at www.xenonlink.com and it seems like a pretty good deal at $135 and free shipping. i was just trying to figure out where the ballasts could go, the engine compartment seems pretty tight. any suggetions/tips?
