Default HID, Projector, Xenon. I Need Help

I am sooooo lost. I would like to get new headlights, but i dont know if it is worth buying HIDs. I was wandering what the difference is between the three. Projectors look the same (as HIDs) on the outside (from what ive seen), but how do they perform. If not, can u buy hid headlights or do you have to get other headlights and a conversion kit.

I guess i am just lost. I am new to this stuff and need help. Please post information as well as pix if you have any.

THX

projectors are just a brighter stock headlights, you can get hid kits that plug and play with your stock wiring harness... xenon hids are way nice, im about to pick up a pair for my 92 civic hb

If you wanted the brightest along with some blue get the 6 kelvin ones.. I love my 8ks in my projectors... but i should have gone for a lower kelvin to get more white to push through.

Thanx for the advice. Does anyone have a pic of some projectors (at night) that do not have HID bulbs

How hard are the bulbs to install?

Get an HID kit, whether or not you're gonna run them in Projectors or jewel type headlight housings. They make a huge difference. I'll never not run HID's in another car/bike that I own.

definatly HIDs

forget projectors with reg bulbs!
from what ive heard about projectors is they dont look very good at all and output sucks.
BUT thats just what ive read about most projectors...
i put some HID plug N play lights on my dads 96jimmy and it looks great and has ALOT beter light output at night!!!!!!!!

i used ozniums kit

http://www.oznium.com/hid

they do give off more glare for others BUT not as bad as the camera pics up!
i like the 6K kit cause of the slight blue color...
from what ive heard the higher # you go the less light output ya get... never seen a 4K kit but its gotta be bright.LOL tho i like the blue tint so 6Ks for me... i just gotta save enough cash for them
but i want to get some black housing headlights first. but before than ineed a highpower alt and battery before either of those

Have 4300k pnp bulbs in my intrepid and they are WHITE period....... and IMO the only way to go.

Either way you go about it tho pnp will yeild you glare (light shining upwards like highbeams into oncoming traffic's eyes) and halogen porjectors are less likely to have glare BUT thier output is also likely to suck due to the low grade (in most units) projectors and lenses used.

My plan is to get a second set of the dual halo black headlight projector units I have and retrofit hid projectors into the housings, have the aftermarket look with high quality projectors and output to die for (ie TL or S2000 projectors). Tho I'm having the arguement with myself to get h3 pnp bulbs and another hella gen 3 ballast and see what these projectors will do with hid over doing a retro........
