Lightbulb Honda civic BACK seat LIGHTS

im wondering if anyone has any idea on how to put some lights in the back seat of a 96 honda civic 4door EX.
I was looking at some pre-wired LED lights and i was thinking about just placing them in the back seat, some where next to the handles on the top, but i dont think the wires are long enough o reach the dashboard atleast.
i want them to reach the dash so i can have a on/off switch. the on/off switch will be connected to 12v. can anyone help?

to extend the wires its a simple step... just buy some wire thats the same diameter of the wire on the leds and just extend the wire to where ever you want it to go... JUST BE SURE TO FUSE THE POWER WIRE next to the fuse box! if you do not fuse the wire you risk turning your car into a fireball junker!

I work in an arcade and we just got some flexible LED lights for under a game. I believe it came with the wiring but you needed to do some work to get it all wired up. I have the card the company is Oznium.com. They'r pretty nice and bright.

yea i know that site.
how would i fuse the power wire????
another thing is too, that if i buy the led lights, and once i mount them is gonna look kind of funny because theres gonna be a bulb sticking out. i was thinkin of maybe to get a clear lens and somehow stick it up there with it.

but how would i run that wire? and where would i glue that lens?

well typicaly just hide the lights under the seats or in the side pocket on the trim panels to hide them. as for a fuse leds dont use much power at all so 5amp fuse should be more than enough depending on how many leds you use.

yea i knwo what u mean. but i dont really want to hide them, because u see, i want to use them as a dome type light for the back seat.
yea probably just 2 leds one on each side or maybe i'll just use one and out it right in the middle on the ceiling. i just gotta figure out how the fk im gonna do dat

so your talking about puting them INSIDE the headliner? for using them as a dome light in the roof.... just tie them off the dome light wires
if you put them in the headliner that could be tuff to get them in and not jack up the headliner material. if ya drill thru the headliner the fabric can snag and stretch it all outta of wak.....
for something really easy. go to autozone and get some of those small led spot light things and put them on the sides... that way the person in the back can turn them around to work for them.lol

if i was to do some rear lighting i would try 2 things. one the simplest, get another dome light from a civic and cut a hole in the headliner to put it in.
or two just get some small 4inch cold cathodes from oznium and stick them in the side pockets and/or under the seats as well.

or i guess you could also try to fit some of ozniums dome lights to fit in your stock light.... they are suposed to be TONS BRIGHTER and should be enough for front and back seat....
