yo ma hood is still f****d the allignment is fine now, but still need adjustment up n dwn at the side of the hood, so would hood pins help hold it dwn or will it put to much pressure on the fibre glass, it onli needs bout 5mm drop to fit perfect.

 

yeah, hood pins should work. and you should get them anyway. the latch can break out of the fiberglass and the hood can fly up, so pins are a great idea.
