good luck finding a website that will get you a price. basically to add pearl to something is like 60-80 bucks depending on what your doin. metallic is pretty easy and cheap too. just throw some in and start painting.

Also, it's going to depend on where you go, and you get what you pay for. Period. A coworker of mine got a pearl paint job at and Earl Scheib on her prelude, and it cost about $675. The job isn't perfect, it doesn't feel glossy smooth (it feels like... paint.) and we'll see how it stands up in the next year. If you take it to a body shop I would expect a price tag of no less than 2kish, (that's probably on the very low side) but the quality will be so much better than the 675 dollar job.

My general rule of thumb with my car is that if I can't afford to do it right, I won't do it... but since this is just a asthetic thing and not vital, I'd say go with what's in your budget.

Hope that helps!

Yeah, I meant 2,00ish. Paint jobs ain't cheap.

If you're looking for a cheap alternitive, check out this thread (beginning at the 9th post down), and read at least the first 5-10 pages.

You aren't going to get a metallic or pearl out of it, but a paint job one a 50 dollar budget? Who can complain?

Edit:

This paint job was done with a roller, for 50 dollars.

Hot.

the pearl alone is like 80 bucks and you have to mix it with your paint then you need you paint gun, a fairly large air compressor, a bunch of sand paper prob 320 grit, a paint gun paint thinner to clean the gun, and a garage with a built in fan we use to paint cars at my house we charge 1000 bucks depending on the colors and stuff it varys in price.

unless you are goin flat black or primer grey dont do it yourself. talk to people at your work and your family to find the best local paint shop. a good high quality paint job should cost around $2000.
