I got a few pics on my prof. but you can get a good quality mesh grill thats already been blacked out on ebay for like 20 bucks or so (non-painted). if anything you can simply take the center part of the grill out (phillips screwdriver I think) for a cheap and easy black out. lol :-)

So the center part of the grilles can be taken out with no cutting? I've wanted to make my own mesh grille, but haven't looked to see if the inside part could just be unscrewed.

Yea. Pop the hood and take out all the retaining pins on top of the grill and you should be able to see far enough behind to tell. Dont pull too hard its screwed into the bottom and you could rip em' out. I'll post some pics of my stock grill in a min so you can see what it looks like from behind.

Well I went and looked at it and I was mistaken. you can remove the painted ring but then you would have nothing to mount it to the car with. (as you can see in the pics) Sorry for the confusion its been a while since ive messed with it. You could still convieveably do it.
