in 98 civic my HVAC controls are out..they dont light up..whats the deal.how can i fix that. it drives me nuts at night when i cant see what im pressing...help!!!! thanks

If all the instrument/gauge lights don't work, then check whether fuse 30 is blown or whether the dash lights brightness controller is bad.
If the problem is limited to lights in the heater control panel, then the bulbs are probably burned out. Here's how to access the bulbs:
