what appearance mods should i make on my 96 dx, that is shown in my sig. I dont really want to make it Ricer, but i like body kits and nice rims. Any of you have any suggestions how i could make subtle changes to make my car look more racer. on a small budget mind you.

 

how small of a budget are you talking?

 

probably about 1000 bucks within the next couple of months. hoping to get summer job (still in school) and make some cash to increase my budget. but right now its around 1000

 

for 1000 you can buy a nice set of rims..or somthing like paint all the black moldings red, get a lip kit, and lower it. That should be about a grand or less.

 

well id start off painting the side moldings to match....
the rims....
then move into the drop and lip kit...

those seem to make the largest improvements!
only things id leave black on your car is the mirrors.


and if you havent already first thing id put on is a good alarm system!
people just love stealing hondas!

 

already dropped 2.5 inches from stock. dont know what kinda springs its got in it cuz i havent had a chance to check. im thinking about getting it painted gunmetal, and i asked for rims for my bday lol. and in a few weeks ill be crusin in my dads buddies ferrari for the weekend....hehe talk about an unforgiving clutch.
thanks for the advice tho. im considering a lip kit, and the rims will come soon.

lip kit ftw! thats what i would do next. you will spend about 300-400 bucks getting it painted.

 

im gunna get all my body mods on and then get a the whole thing painted cuz it needs a paint job bad. its got sun damage on the top, and trunk, its really faded. also its got soem deep scratches on the driver side door, so im probably gunna get a paintjob for xmas hehe...lol i still get xmas benefits from parents...thats why its great to have a first car to load up, cuz i can get stuff paid for...its great being young... well, im definitely gunna go wiht an SI spoiler, lip and skirt kit, new rims and probably darker tint. and top it all of with a gunmetal paintjob and there ya go. thanks for the help!

 

awesome man, i would look into the back lip as well. i will have pics on friday of what a type r rear lip looks like. i say keep the stock side skirts and just paint them the gunmetal color of your car.
