black wires need to be grounded, red wires need to be wired to a 12v source, either on with your running lights or with a switch. A common place to get the 12v source is from under your dashboard in your fuse box.

I ditched trying to hook the halos for tonight. I just got them all wired up and working. I have to a few little Tweens to FET the light to align right. And ill try and get the halos going. But can anyone give a step by step on how to hook it up to my running lights. I'm not that much of a car or wiring guy this is the first thing that I have done to my car.
So thanks in advance for any help from anyone

now that you have your lights working, just not the halos. turn on your running lights. look behind the running lights and find the wires that are going to those. i forget how many there are but you have to find the one that is power. if you got a volt meter you could press it thru the wire and see if there is power, then wire it to the one with with the running lights on.
