Default I need some interior help basically.. NEW PICS!!

Ive started modding my interior lately.. Painted a few parts to match exterior. Cup holder etc..
I was just wondering if anyone has any cool/cheap interior mods, cant really afford much so dont be coming out with momo steering wheels etc lol.
Im looking at good things to paint, and other cheap mods, lighting etc..

(images to come)
All i have for now, is a painted cup holder
aftermarket cd player
fur roof lining (shaggable lol)

Any help is appreciated!!

well for the 92-95civics only a few lighting options to do, cupholder trick wont work cause they fold up and crap.....

other than that its either cluster lights, climate control lights like my DIYs...... or lights under the dash or seats, if on a budget the cold cathodes will kick @ss. just try not to kick them! if you can kick them then i say get the led units...

THO THE ****.............. well....... um you dont want to hear my opinion.LOL
but hell i myself have done the crush velvet interior.LOL i just sugest that you dont glue it down to the parts..... maybe a hot glue gun will work ok cause youd be able to pull most the glue off the factory parts. with my old impala i just tucked the fabric under all the parts.... or velcrod them down.

Ive thought of a way of doing cool LED things to the pop up cup holder i got off ebay.. Heres a pic of the holder just so you know the one i mean.

holder looks good sprayed the colour of car..
basically gonna put 10mm white LEDs ino them from the underneath and wire them up into the dash leds ive done.

Havnt got the skills to do the climate control things etc.. gonna do under the seats n stuff though i think.. Oznium the best right?
how hot do LEDs get?

get some of the oznium flexible LED strips. I had those under the dash and seats of my old car wired to a switch near the e-brake. Only took about 30 minutes to do. You can just run them into your fuse box.

Stop painting interior parts! Imo painting interior parts looks kind of "ricer" another reason is the paint will crack, flake, peel, get scratched and then it ends up looking like crap. I just bought a 93 red civic hatch that the kid painted the speaker covers and the vents on the dash all red...needless to say they look like crap now and I had to spend the money on replacing them. But if that's what you like keep on rattle canning bro.

Make sure you use enough clearcoat and it should last a while.

well the paint will only last as long as everyone takes care of it!!!
i did my old truck with some painted trim pieces that looked great IMO..... BUT after people started hiting it with their rings or purses and it got all scratched up and chiped off. it sucked... it was the only painted dash ill ever do ever again... just more hassle in the wrong run if you reaony want nice looks. best way to get paint to stick properly and be more chip resistant is to smooth all the dash pieces down completely smooth and then clean and primer and paint and clear, but thats a bunch of work as well.....

but leds dont get hot at all.... the resistors might get alittle warm but not hot enough to be any problem!

but 10mm leds...... thats kinda large.LOL i would use 3mm for the smallest or just some regular 5mm leds.

I stick some 10 mm leds in today.. 2 of them infront of each part of the cup holder.. look great!! lights it up enough to be able to see where to put a drink at night without smacking the can into the holders mechanism! good idea as they are really quite weak!
Ill stick some pics up when i get a chance!!

any other mod ideas?
