Default I need some quick help for tachometer

hey everyone, im in the middle of installing my new tach, and ive wired up the black, red, and white wires with no problems, but now im having a problem getting the dash panel off of the area around the gauge cluster. Im trying to remove this because i found a thread on hcf that stated i could use the spare tach signal wire in behind the gauge cluster, I have a 1994 civic cx hatchback, so there was no tachometer with the stock cluster. So heres what i want to know, how can i remove the panel that incases the gauge cluster and air vents? (i already removed the two screws on top of the panel but it doesn't seem to want to come out) and, is there even a tach wire behind the cluster? Ive seen other people talking about the blue wire with white stripe on it on the drivers side of the engine bay, but i cant seem to find it as easy as the pics showed. Or could i attach it to the negative ignition coil? in the manual it states i can and even included some adapter, but id rather find that spare tach signal wire. please help lol

well for my 99 civic the stock tach wire under the hood is up on the drivers side closer to the windshield...

thiers a picture of my engine bay... now if ya see the wire harness plug thats towards the top right.... on that same bracket that holds that somewhat large plug thiers a small 1wire thats closer to the fender... that is my tach wire...
tho since mine is a 99 and urs is a 94 it might be different........

it says on my wire thing says blue wire at distributor or tach test connetion, tach test connector (white 2pin) found in drivers rear of engine compartment BLUE tach wire also found in gray 14 pin connector on top of fuse block at pin #3.

Here is my tach signal. If you cant find the one behind your dash, use this one.
