i did the same thing. but i drive a coupe not a hatch (same year) but idk if that will have anything to do with it. the 'civic' and 'EX' emblems were just glued on to the trunk. so i used a towel and a flathead screwdriver. the honda logo in the middle tho. that one sucked. same thing it was just glued. but it has 2 pegs comin out of it and those go into holes in the trunk.

the adhesive from the other 2 emblems came off quite easily with some glue remover. but unless you're ready to use some bondo and touch up paint. i'd leave the honda emblem on there.

If your putting the new model badges on the old model cars, you better be ready to do some work. I ended up having to take my dremmel out and completely grind the pegs down on the front badge so it would fit my 97, it came with 2 sided tape, so I cleaned the surface, pressed it on there, and walaa.

The back also had the wrong pegs. I trimmed them down with the dremel, so they were the width of the origional pins that poke through the trunk. the H that is. Once I got it trimmed to fit, they poked right in there, and 2 sided tape is there to hold it on.

I decided to rip the 2 sided off of mine and use high powered contact adheasive instead. I like it because I can get it off easier later.

I do love my new emblems though, they look pretty good. Yellow and all :-) Check It.

I have tein s-techs, its about 1.8 all around. I think the front sits up to hgh personally, the back is perfect. If you look in my gallery you will see what im talking about.
