I'm back from the dead lol. Got some new pics.
Hey guys sorry I havent been around much but most of you know I had a daughter born last year and now I'm working two jobs to support her and pay my bills so I havent had much time to get online but I have fooled around with my car a little. I'm in the middle of prepping the car for paint so instead of the normal gray primer I've been using black primer. Its almost ready for a new paint job but I figure I'd post some new pics of what looks like now.
My last thread everyone kept telling me how they werent feeling my tails so I kept the tails but modified them for everyone. I liked them before but I like them even more now.

yea I'm indecisive about the color once I finish the body work.
Hot Rod Flatz sells a a flat black paint that I'm thinking about using and tinting the windows with 10% (which is getting done regardless of color) or I have some paint here already that is a blue that is identical to the bright blue of a miller lite can with a touch of silver metallic flake
looks great, man.... those tails are awesome!
But from what I've heard, the guys with the muscle car flat black paints have to get their car resprayed every few years because the sun just destroys the paint. I think something like painting the car black and getting the wheels powdercoated blue would look awesome.

well the paint is cheap enough that if me and my buddy have to respray it every 2 - 3 years its no big deal. It'll only cost me the paint since we do all the body work and paint work ourselves.

How did you do that to your tails? it looks amazing.

I used spray tint by VHT NiteShades.
If you do it yourself be very patient and take your time over wise it will fish eye on you real bad. Except to not have tail lights in your car for about 24 hours.
Make sure you sand the tails good. I used 800 grit sand paper. Just enought to scratch it up but nothing too deep. When you start coating make sure you put VERY VERY LIGHT coats on. Allow an hour between coats and once you have them as dark as you want them let them dry for 6 - 8 hours and if you want (i choose not to since I'm going for the flat look) then clear coat them for a shine and allow 12 hours of dry time after about 2 - 3 coats of clear (an hour between clear coats as well)
