I lived in the ghetto side of san jose cal so at least i know when my car is getting stolen

if you've never installed an alarm before, i suggest you pay a perfessional to install it..you then run no risk of it messing up. the alarm installion is VERY important, a good alarm w/ bad installation is worthless.
