yea but if you wait 10 more years you'll have $300 in savings bonds. it's probably best just to put those away for a long time and pull them out when you're a lot older. They'll be worth a ton. My advice is that you should just save up for the underglow.

that's my .02

hell i had one of those saving bonds from my grandpa. had to wait a year for it to gain interest before i could cash it out. i gained like 12bucks... i was very disappointed when i found that crap out! i thought i was gonna get about 50-100bucks in interest... hell no. i was so pissed that i did just cash the dam thing and use it! unless you have ALOT of cash invested in those dam things they are not worth saving IMO

my parents have a ton of cash invested in something like that were they get a check every month which i think they said was like 1K bucks a month. BUT they have a ton of cash invested in it!
im not exactly sure how much they have into it but i know its a huge amount. since for awhile they were struggling to pay credit cards while they were waiting on there first few checks.

thats the other thing i thought about... putting them away for that long has potential for losing them. and thats NO money. i think ill see what i want first and they go ahead and buy. ill probably end up cashing those in

Okay so I got the lights today when I got home from Tampa, turns out they came from Hong Kong (explains the shipping delay). I have installed them in my gauge cluster and A/C controls and so far so good. The real test is tonight to check for how bad the hot spots are. Pics tonight!

Okay so the pictures make them look better than they are. They have some hot spots but it's not that bad. It doesn't bother me and you really can only see the hot spots if you look real closely. I plan on keeping them and the A/C ones are actually evenly lit, so I think they work fine.

here's the pics:
