Default Interior LED conversion "DIY"

1. rip everything out of your dashboard
2. find an electrical engineer
3. watch electrical engineer solder some stuff
4. drive to radio shack
5. solder some more
6. put it back together
7. it's done!

It is my car but to say that "I" converted everything to LEDs is not really true, because Adam did most of the work, but he did a good job
It's really really bright in person.

Here are some random pics of the inside of my climate control

p.s. the real DIY is "if you can't figure it out, you shouldn't be doing it"

Yeah, not recomended unless you have lots of experience. You should be able to figure it out if you have enough experience.

It does look sweet though.

No, it's way complicated. The kits that you can find that replace the bulb with an LED don't look good at all because of how directional LEDs are. Bulbs spread the light out and LEDs shoot the light straight ahaid. To do it right you really have to do a custom job. There's resistors and cutting and soldering and taping and taking things apart and putting them together... don't try it unless you're good at this stuff.

It's not a simple replacement! We used plain old LEDs and resistors with open leads, there's no sizes. This is a completely custom install and HIGLY not recommended... it's very easy to mess things up, and LEDs are very tempromental.
