just got windows tinted, problem with upper rear windshield
so I just got my windows tinted, came with a lifetime warranty so thats good, but on the rear windshield at the top where theres a bunch of small black dots on the actual windshield (I think its to help block off glare maybe? idk) but the tint didnt really stick to that at all. everywhere else the tint is amazing and I will get pics up soon... but anyone have any similar problems? its just like the top 4" of the rear windshield.
I'm going to call the guy and let him know what happened but I'm afraid that its not his fault and that the tint isnt able to stick to those dots. my idea... get a straight edge and a razor blade and cut off the tint where the problem is, and then get some sort of paint or something and paint that part of the window. (not necessarily paint but something to completely black it out) when looking through my rear view mirror I cant even see the part of the windshield because its way at the top and the ceiling of my interior cuts it off so it wouldnt cause any visibility issues.
any ideas of what I could use to do this?

wait what? those little black dots are for my antenna? I have a power antenna on the back driverside above my gas cap kinda that isnt attached to my windshield at all
Ya the little dots are right on the edge right around your window? Mine used to curl a little around the dots too, I brought it back and they fixed it, they just need to wet it and re-stick it. Get them to fix it, that's what the lifetime warranty is for, that shouldnt be like that.

if you are talking about the little black dots around the edge of the glass there sappost to be there on some vehicles and there called matrix dots and what happens is the film sticks to the dots and cant stick to the glass around it giving you a silver affect. its just how it will dry and there really isnt anything a tinter can do to fix it because the film will completly lay down on some of the dots and glass and other spots it wont. go around and look at some cars that were tinted and see what you notice. My Dads been doing tinting for over 24 years now and its just a comment thing
