So heres the deal. i just got my first car. a 2000 honda civic ex. everything is stock. now, i really want to mod . but i have no clue on what things are and how they are installed and which brands to choose. So right of the bat, i know im getting an exhaust system (please name a brand that sounds good and not too expensive. same thing for the next things i am going to list) intake, headers, sound system that is all i know. PLEASE help me out and tell me what else i should have installed into my car. PLEASE! all i did was tint the windows.

Just save if you are asking for a "cheap" exhaust kit. Also, keep in my, we don't know what YOU think is "cheap". Is $500 affordable, or $150?

You need to start doing research first. No one will spoon feed you. Go to Youtube and listen to exhaust videos.

What you need to do is:

1. Figure out how much power you want out of the car and what the car is going to be used for.

2. Figure out how much money you want to spend

Then start researching your *** off on companies and how to install.

For exhaust I would pick up a nice Borla or flowmaster muffler and find a reputable local exhaust shop and have them weld it up to some 2.5" piping from the cat back. This will give you a nice exhaust tone but keep you from sounding like every other civic out there. 2.5" will provide enough flow for up to 300 HP in the future, should run you around $400-$500 at the most.

For starts I recommend, going for the classiv mods:

- cold air intake system - K&N, Injen, DC sports, AEM or whatever - NOT SHORT RAM!
- exhaust manifold
- back box

And remap your car.
