Another good tip is to make sure you've got ALL your piping mocked up, cut, and ready to install before painting. You don't want to have to do any cutting or forcing the pipes once they've been painted, cause they'll get scratched really easy.

looks decent tho looks like ya missed afew endents on it.... mine was a HUGE PITA to get smooth and then i ended up using wrinkle paint on it.
good luck polishing the lettering. i didnt take a chance when i did mine i sanded and polished the letters before painting. the chap stick tricked worked great! and i just finger nailed off the paint and it was done.

might look OK on the car but im just not a fan of that color changing paint.... but it depends on how the whole engine bay looks i guess....

what other ideas ya got for the engine bay?

Nothing too crazy..i'm gonna replace all the visible hardware with stainless, have the IC piping match the valve cover, a mild wire tuck, maybe put stainless braided covers on the radiator/heater/vacuum hoses hoses, and have a polished intake maifold with the fuel rail I already did. Nothing too complicated

Default Finished Valve cover

Here she is after polishing the letters, some rubbing compound, and a nice coat of wax. I almost dont want to put it on the engine.

pull that thing out in some good light
pictures not that great.... looks good tho.

might i make a small sugestion???????
how about some bolt caps that you sand the chrome and then paint them to match....

tho i had 2 of them fall off already. next time im gonna use HOT GLUE to hold them on the bolt alittle better.... but i think they would look great if ya painted them to match, tho you would still have to paint the bolts large washer parts and the other bolts.
i totaly forgot when i painted mine valve covers! dirty and plain valve cover, but ya get the gist of it with the bolt covers or caps what ever you want to call them.....
