lip kit and lowering
I have a 1999 Honda Civic DX and i was wondering about lip kits. Since i think body kits are gody and too ricey i wanted to get like a front and rear lip and since my car is red i think a black kit would look good. Better than a body kit?
And also I was wondering would it be better if i lowered my car with a lip kit or doesn't matter. Like can you get lowering springs that are fully adjustable?

What are the price ranges for coilovers? and how tough is installment?
For quality sleeve-style coilovers you'll be looking at a few hundred bucks. You'll need aftermarket shocks that can handle being lowered on too. Or you can buy full coilovers.
There are basically two kinds of coilovers. Sleeves, and full coilovers. Coilover sleeves have a metal threaded sleeve that slips over the shock, and then the perch (what the bottom of the spring rests on) screws up and down on the sleeve (that's how you adjust the ride height).
On full coilovers, it comes with the shocks and coilover spring... the metal threads are built into the shock, and the perches work the same way.
For coilover sleeves I have heard good things about Koni shocks with Ground Control coilovers. For full coilovers, I have heard good things about buddy club coilovers (I think they call them N-spec dampers). For the full coilovers you're only looking at probably a $100 difference between the two setups I mentioned. (with the full coilovers being more expensive)

Well i might as well not take the risk and my body is mint condition so i will have the car for years to come so i see get full coilovers as my only option. My friend works for Honda and is amazing with working on them so there is free installment right there.

Here's the buddy clubs. If you want them to come with the top hats, you have to select that option and it costs like $150 more. You can reuse the stock top hats though... the Buddy Club ones are just nicer. It's unnecessary, but if you're rich or something, it would definitely be nice to buy the top hats.

1. That brand is garbage, you're gonna be spending a lot more if you want anything of quality
2. You still would need shocks. KYB AGX and Tokico Illuminas are the cheapest you could probably get away with, and those run $400+ a set.
