'98 Coupe will likely rub lowered and on 17" rims. The question is really "how much and in what conditions?".

i did it, with tien s-techs, sold my 17's 3 days later because it sucked. got 16's and now im maxed out on ground control coilovers and i dont rub at all. you probably could make it not rub, if you had a little bit of negative camber and the fender lips were rolled.

i just put a set of 17s on my civic hatchback, and they rub a bit if i turn the steering wheel more than half way in any direction. they also bottom out on the slightest bump. i was told that Monroe MA811 Max-Air adjustable shocks would do the trick. dunno if anyone else has used them before?

Theres a guy that wants to trade me some fat fives with new tires plus cash for my 17's. Does anyone know if these will work well with the car being lowered? Im not sure what the tire dimensions are but they look pretty stock size to me.

Those will be fine. Probably have a 195/55/15 tire on them. Double check to make sure though.

Ok coo thanks, im not sure just yet what im gonna do as far as trading goes. Id really like to get some 16 in rota gt3's again. I had a set of fat fives powdercoated black on my old 94 integra gsr. I liked em but ive never seen em on a civic.

Dear livgone01,

I had thought I'd made myself clear. We do not enjoy having post ****** on the forums, nor do we enjoy getting thinly disguised spam links shoved down our throats. Speaking of which, using a text html link is not clever and I would hope most of us are intelligent enough to mouse-over to see the link we may or may not click, meaning disguising the link as "a 01 integra" (which is grammatically incorrect, by the way) is utterly pointless. As a result, I have made sure this letter has a very pronounced hint of annoyance, hopefully as thinly disguised as your spam link. Also, you will notice you no longer have posting privileges on this forum. I hope you enjoyed your stay.

Love,
reaper2022

And as for a contribution, my old EJ1 says you can tuck tire on 17's and barely rub:

It rubbed only at full lock when I hit a bump. I rolled the front fenders, removed the fender liners, and ran -3.0* of camber to keep it from rubbing, though. Even then the ride quality was abysmal; I'd say go no bigger than 16's.
