thanks for the warm welcome. i am far from a newbie but ocasionally i come across something that i feel like is a newbie quesiton, but i am also far from an expert. i dont claim to know all of everything but i will chime in when i do know for sure that i knew something as fact. feel free to ask me any quesitons about painting and i will help how i can but do remember that if i have to give you the whole process then if you do really want to do it yourself you should spend some time with a painter and let them help you do it. i cant teach you how to paint a car online

i guess i will also add in that if you are willing to pay round trip shipping on parts i will paint anything for a reasonable price and i can mix any car color and i can match pretty much any other color of you have a sample of that you can send along with the parts. i have painted things from engine parts, interior parts, whole cars, whole airplanes(lol, thats my job), and tons of other things that i cant remember. if it is a solid (i.e. not a liquid lol)i can most likely paint it

i could probly try. maybe if you make a list of some common things that the average do it yourselfer paints then i can make a few how-to's on them. the reason i ask for a list of things is cause i dont think twice about painting something so i dont know what kinds of things the average person will try to do. but i do know that painting a whole car is out of most peoples range of skill. i am gonna paint a valve cover tomorrow and an ac bracket so i will take some pics and start with those
