Default Moonroof Visor...Is it worth it?

Hi everyone.

First time poster here. I just got a 2007 Honda Civic EX 4-Door Sedan! I'm very excited about it.

One of the reasons, I opted for the EX was because of the features. One of those features in choosing the EX over the LX was the fact that the EX came standard with a moonroof.

I've seen many cars on the road with moonroof visors. I've also read that they cut down on cabin noise while driving.

So...is one worth getting to install? I do a fair bit of interstate traveling so does the noise become loud if the moonroof is open driving 65, 70, 75 miles per hour?

Any and all thoughts and opinions are welcome.

Thanks!

i had a moonroof visor/windblocker on my 06 civic ex coupe.

i hated it.

it blocked the wind alright, but it also blocked some of the view out and i actually enjoy having some wind buffeting into the cabin.

it reminds you that you have a moonroof in the first place.

as for the wind noise, i never really paid attention to it, so i can't say the noise was that bad.

I thought a moonroof was one you couldn't open and a sunroof was one that you could.

Me personally.....I don't like the way those look. They take away from the "sleek look" of having a sunroof. I don't have a visor and I like not having one. Plus when you're on the highway with it open the wind flows nicely. So I say don't get it, but it's you're ride.....so whatever floats you're boat!!!

I had one and didn't like it. Not only did it scuff the paint (like anything that mounts to body panels, such as mud flaps, trim etc.) but it looked dumb.

they suck. my ex coupe had one on it when i got the car. and it was the first thing i changed. i took it off. its ugly, its tacky, it doesnt serve a purpose. the only thing those visors do is keep air out of your moonroof rendering it pointless.

join the fight for visor free civics! haha

A sunroof is the kinda that you can only pop open a few inches. A moonroof is usually capable to opening that way and sliding all the way back.
