Moving My Hear Controls By Cup Holders

Default Moving My Hear Controls By Cup Holders

Well Today I have decided that im gonna move my temp controls from the upper part of the console to teh bottom by the cup holders. I have a 1996 Civic Cx..... The reason for me doing this so so i can stick my Screen in here with a head until.... So everything im pretty much bumping down and then fiberglass and gonna bondo it all in.... .... im gonan load up a couple pics here in a sec........Hope yall enjoy this lil fun im having

I also thought about this. But I was guna put a napkin holder insert up ther einstead of down by the cup holders. let me know how it turns out. Seems liek nice little project.

napkins holders? you eat too much in your car. i try to avoid even having my Tim Hortons in my car.

Another pic of the moisture that has gotten on the inside of the dash. Also you will see the big *** hole that i will have for room to work with here in teh upper dash.. This is gonna be a fun project....

lol well it wouldnt be for napkins, it would be for soemthign different, Im just trying to get ride of the disabled tape player.



Looks nice, how well does it fit? did you need to do any cutting?

It fits pretty good actually..... I thought it would be alot lose and have some play in it. I put teh shifter peice back over it so see how it looks with that peice covering most of everything.

This is how it will look with the shift console over it....
Fits fairly good. Had to Shave alil plastic to get it a better fit..

I still have some fiberglass to do on molding plastics so this isnt permanant yet but will be after im all done.... So far i thinkits good... I think it a diff spot that other cars so it good for the time being..

ya this is a very popular mod idea.... works great.......

just get some black plastic or something and paint a flat black paint cut it into strips and just go around the controls.....

Yeah i was gonna get some black abs plastic and pretty much cut temp[late out but i still debating on a fiberglass with it but the problem is that if i move it that gonna be a pain in teh *** to move again and have to do the process again.......

well with molding plastic id say stay away from fiberglass cause ive seen WAY to many horible jobs!
use some plastic epoxy!

this stuff works great!!!!!!! sands just like soft bondo... smooths out VERY EASY!!!!!!! and paints right over!

i used it when i remolded my trucks dash for fit a tv stuff works GREAT!!!!!!!!
