My mom ran into my parked car *REPAIRED* (new pics)
UPDATE: FIXED!
Compare pics below!
I'm usually at school on friday mornings but we had off today, so my mom decided to smash our big Durango into my poor little Civic.
The damage isn't too bad, but it's definately going to the shop, and on her bill
I plan to get my spoiler repainted since the paint is completely flat and faded:
while I'm there I might as well buy a mugen or type R front lip too.
UPDATE: ebay'ed Type R. It's on the way.
Honestly this whole thing might work out in my favor.
I'll view this as an oppurtunity
FIXED:
Maaco did a damn good job for 700 bucks.
I got the whole car repainted too!

RE: My mom smashed into my parked car this morning. (pics)
I got a quote from 3 different places:
1) Honda dealer - $1600
This would entail cutting and replacement of the panel, spot painting, and painting that rear door to match it.
2) Family owned place - $1500
Pretty much the same story here, just cheaper.
3) Maaco - $700
Here they would get rid of all the dents and also repaint the whole car for this price.
This would be their $725 3-step package though (its on sale), not the cheapass 300-400 dollar one.
Now I know lot's of people talk down on Maaco, but honestly we can't afford to spend thousands of dollars to repair an 11 year old car that costed 5k. The guy at Maaco was the owner of that shop and he showed us several cars that had been painted with the same package. They all looked quite good to me, and he stressed that their bodyshop workers are very good at what they do. My Maaco location rolls out 50 cars a week, 7-8 a day he said.
Any opinions? I searched our forums for more info about Maaco and read up on the threads, so I am aware most people recommend doing the prep work myself. What does that mean exactly? How do I go about doing that?
I plan on taking it to a car wash place before I get the paintjob done but thats about it.
Also, I'm starting to wonder if I should change the color of my car O_O
comments/suggestions?

Changing the color of your car is a lot bigger hassle, and if you said you're planning on saving money, changing the color isn't really in your favor. That's basically doubles the price of the paint job. Lips and matching skirts ftw though

RE: My mom ran into my parked car (FIXED w/ pics!)
If you want just a couple dents removed its around 50 bucks.
If you want dents and a full body paintjob of their lowest qual. its about 450.
If you did the higher quality one thats on sale its just a bit more but it will have a nicer clear coat and its a full 3 step paintjob.
My front lip came in today.
They said if I brought it in with my stock sideskirt things they would paint them for free since I paid for the full thing.
Planning to do that asap.
