I just installed this lights yesterday, and it occurs to me that they might be illegal, does anybody know exactly what the law say about the color of tail lights? Does it vary from state to state? What can I do to make these legal, right now they light up white while driving, and the turn signals are yellow and when i brake its red.

you sould be alright as long as they light up the correct colors when you back up, brake and use your turn signal...

 

they would'nt be legal in cali.

i had some for a long time and never got stoped, but a friend got stopped so much he tossed his. the "legal" tails have a red reflector on the sides...kinda like these. i dont know if every state is the same.

you need some part of the tails to be reflective red at all times, but the cops can't stop you for that... it has to be a secondary thing (ie, you are speeding or have a bulb out)
