Hey got A brand new pair of fog lights for my 89 hb. I was wondering instead of having them run off a toggle switch cant i just wire them into my Parking lights or headlights??

 

you COULD wire it up that way but I doubt your fog lights would work very well. Usually fog lights require quite a bit of juice and your parking lights are very low power. If you don't want to wire a switch into the cabin, then just hook it up to come on with your headlights but power it with a different circuit.

 

Yea I don't think it is a good idea to wire them to your headlight or parking light, because they do need way more power. You will just keep blowing fuses.

 

For safety reason run the wire for foglites. Install 7.5 amp fuse to the toggle switch to prevent the wire burning up your ride. It's check insurance .
