Default new front bumper

So, after fighting with Honda about replacing my front bumper, they aren't going to do it. Long story short, they sold me the car Honda certified and after about 4 months the paint started falling off and I find out that the bumper wasn't the original, and isn't even OEM, it is a replica that is made from lower grade plastic and doesn't allow the paint to adhere to it. So, I am going to finally just buck up and buy a new front bumper and have it painted. I found a OEM primed front bumper for $159. I wanted to get a type-r or mugen front lip and a type-r grill at the same time.. then I was thinking about it, should I just get a stylized bumper instead of the stock with lip? if i should go with a different bumper, what are some nice styles? thanks guys (and gals)...

i would just do the stock bumper with the type r grille and lip since it will look at lot cleaner and if you dont like the lip you can always just take it off, you can't do that with a body kit bumper without putting the stocker back on.

as for Honda not warranting the paint, it's not covered in their extended or original warranties barring improper application from the factory.. and even then, that's a tough one to prove

they should however, replace the bumper, as they should have been able to tell that it was not an original honda part, and as such, would not meet their quality standards, also means that there's a potential the car was involved in an accident, and if that wasn't disclosed, they're violating a couple of laws

haha i am a tard....

so i thnk you should get anotehr stock with a lip kit, that way if you ever want to sell your car you can have the stock bumper back on there and you can easily take the lip kit off. It sucks Honda wont do anything about it though [&:]good luck anyway!

Thats weard, I dont get how they sold you a car without the accident notbeing in the records but them knowing about it.

But anyways, go for the stock bumper with the lip and grill.

I totally agree, and that is what I was trying to get them to do, and understand. When I brought it to the body shop they instantly noticed. Also, when I got the car they gave me a carfax report, clean, 2 previous owners, but nothing about an accident or anything like that. I brought that up to them and their reply was "well, that doesn't mean it wasn't in an accident or a fender bender or something, just means they didn't report it, and if they didn't report it then we would have no way of knowing about it...." [:@] I was willing to paint the bumper myself, but when the body shop told me that basically a little over 1/3 of the cost was getting a new bumper I was pissed!
