and to all you who think im standing up for the guy cuz im a ricer, my cars exterior is stock minus 8000k HIDs, tints (20% driver and passengers window, 5% back windsheild, back 2 windows and sun strip on the windsheild), front Type R lip and the SiR rims I'm supposed to pick up tonight, my interior however...RSX leather fronts and backs, Apline headunit with 2 12' Kicker CVR's and an Exile 1200.1 amp, black type r knockoff matts, red bulbs in cluster, and my GPS that I mounted to where the cubby hole next to the deck used to be.

The only "performance" parts I have are my Skunk2 shifter/shift ****, and my Magnaflow muffler (deep but not too loud at all). Rest of the car is stock, currently saving for suspension (Tein struts & springs, ASR brace w/ Type R 22mm sway bar and Skunk2 LCA's, SiR rear disc conversion, Energy suspension master bushing set).


Engine is the VERY VERY last thing I'll do (besides boosting it after). I have my plan mapped out already, I'm no ricer, just into be comfortable in my own car/making it look good before I start spending all the cash on making the car fast, when I drive speed limit (most of the time:P). It's my DD, if you wanna make your DD fast from the start, thats your buisness. Like I said, if your keeping the interior/exterior stock and going all performance, your obviously trying to impress guys and not girls, and thats a definite no-no.

 

why is that a definite no no? I don't get guys trying to get girls with there cars? To i don't care about rims and lights. I would rather ride in a fast car with a guy than lights and rims.

JKG, your assumption of what we have done to our cars is completely rediculous.

I'm using a T3/T4 Garrett 42 trim Ball Bearing Oil/water cooled turbo and a ported/polished JDM D15B head and i'm going to reliably make at least 230WHP. Gonna shoot for 250WHP if possible, all depending on what Columbia (my tuner... used to be head tuner at CFT) thinks we should do. And guess what... I'm installing it all myself. All the mods on my car, I did them myself. You're paying someone to swap your front bumper, hood, headlights, and fenders. That is sad.

You come on here asking for opinions and putting yourself out in the open to get peoples' reactions. Well guess what, you got reactions. Unfortunately for you, those reactions aren't what you want to hear. If you wanted us to say what you wanted to hear, you should have just went and asked your mommy if she liked the taillights.


You think you're being "different" with your front end swap, the taillights, the headlights, and the wheels, but the fact is, TONS of 01-03 Civic owners do the 04-05 front end conversion, and even then, it just looks like an 04-05. Sorry, but making your car look exactly like an 04-05 makes you no different from an 04-05 Civic.

The taillights you picked are more common than the stock taillights. Your claim of wanting to be different makes your decision on the taillights paradoxical.

The headlights... EVERYONE has projectors. You wonder why you can't find a picture of the clean headlights I tried to point you in the direction of? Because anyone who knows anything about modding Civics knows to stay away from that generation of Civic if they want to make it fast or anything. As a result, many of the 01-05 Civic modifiers (not all) are the ricers with the halo headlight obsession. You say it's because the Anzos are better? No, it's not true. I have had Anzos, and they were garbage. They broke while adjusting... after a few months! If you want to be different, then why do you pick the headlights everyone else has instead of the ones you can't find a picture of them installed? Obviously getting those would make you more different than if you got projectors.

Finally, the rims. CHROME wheels and Civics do NOT mix. Are you trying to be a gangsta? A truck driver? Because that's what chrome rims go on. And actually... driving down the road I see more Civics with chrome rims than without, and they look stupid every time. Your wheels aren't "different" either.

If you want to be different and that's your justification for everything, then get a different car. Nearly everything that can be done to a Civic has already been done, and most of those mods are done often.

If you don't want our opinions, don't ask. We don't have to stay out of your thread just because you want us to.

Cuz the ones I know will look at you like your speaking chinese (or just smile and nod :P). Girls dig nice looking cars. Period. 7/10 dont like to go dangerously fast, going waaay over the speed limit and being a straight up retard. You're not going to use all that power on the streets (unless you like police and possibly having all your work turned into a nice little cube), so unless your a big track enthusiast, its totally unneccessary to start working on the motor while your still rolling on 13's with stock seats (I ****ing HATE stock seats BTW).

And ya, I've picked up girls with my car before, girls jump on your **** when they see something they like (those are the ones you say goodbye to the next morning BTW )

If you're working on your car (well in some cases... i see that most of the appearance-only guys just get their work done FOR them) just because you want to get girls, you're in the game for all the wrong reasons.

 

So my tail lights are a dime a dozen blah blah... true maybe... show me other tails for an 01-05 civic id like to see you choices... there arent many to choose from choose carfully. and stock isnt an option. remember im DIFFERENT.
