Will polished aluminum do? If so, wet-sand the valve cover with 120 grit to take most of the paint off. Then go over it with 220, 400, 800, 1000, and 2000 grit, all wet-sanding. I promise you by that time you won't be able to look at the valve cover in direct sunlight. I polished my friend's valve cover in his 240sx for sh*ts and giggles before we painted it, and it was ridiculously shiny after the 800 grit.

Personally, whatever Civic I get next will have a graffiti valve cover, like I did on the rear windshield of my friend's EJ2, only covering 95% of the valve cover:

(I know the L4te Night Kr3w isn't really graffiti style, I just felt like scribbling that on there while I had the window pen lol)

Just paint it yourself. Its easy. And Id do a graff on if I could think of anything that would look good.

i cant imagine me doing graff on a small valve cover unless it was just a tag, i like to add detail and ****, my pieces are usually huge.

Same here, 6'x12' is the wall space we usually work on. But something like this would still be neat...I love this bay

Mine is slightly tucked but I wouldnt move my battery. I want the weight on the front wheels even though its not that much. Traction.
