Nightshade?
Well ive searched this quiet thoroughly and i am still left with questions. I have a 97 dx sedan and i want black tailights. The only styles that they have to buy are altezzas, and for the 4 door, they look like the back of a spaceship. Therefore i am looking into just tinting my stock ones which without a doubt will look better than any altezza's. However im not sure what material to buy, ive heard good reviews on that "Nightshade" stuff and bad reviews on it. Then there is film which i have heard is noothin but a pain in the @$$. Ive also never seen any pics of tinted tailights at night!!! which u think would be pretty important lol So basically, how hard is this to do? what material should i use? and is this even legal?? lol any input would b sweet and sry for the long post

Some guy had his blacklights "smoked" kinda like what you want, and he told me some guy just sprayed em with some paint style thingy. It's probably a lot like that thing on ebay. There was no tinting film involved just spray. I say give it a try and see how it comes out. The pick of the Subaru looks pretty good. Its not expensive either, so what you lose a 20 boo hoo
And if it works like a charm you can post your results on the boards and recommand it to everyone! I do like that smoked look on the lights, however I don't like to much black, I'd like to keep is were you can still see the natural color's just darkened. GL
