Opinions/help
So i am thinking about adding some visual mods to my car, I know for sure i am going to replace the tires and get rims rather than the hubcaps it has right now. rims that would look good and would sort of flow with the lines of the car if you catch my drift here. I attached some pictures of how it looks now, the rims have to be the first thing to be put on because i don't like the hubcaps now. I will also be tinting the windows sometime soon since i live in Florida and it gets rather toasty in the car after it sits in the sun all day at school. Oh and want to replace the lights sometime too, but thats for later but if you have any suggestions for those that would help too.
Thanks in advance
~edit~ forgot to say it is a '99 EX

another floridian! we share the same car and same colorbut mine is a 00! well i would suggest to stay away from carbon wings and body kits and all that other junk. its a waste of money.i used to live in Orlando and there were a lot of clean good looking civic's around. just go with a lip kit perhaps which will greatly improve the way the car will look and still maintain that clean look. get some 16" rims with 205/40 tires , maybe an SI wing. some nice headlights and a pair of oem fog lights , and tintin the windows is a good idea.
P.S the car looks good keep it clean bro

Do you know where i can find an Si wing for a good price? looking for a project to do the next couple weeks so thinking i will do fog lights and the wing since i actually have a bit of spare cash right now and with homecoming coming up probably wont for very long. Thanks for the suggestions though, jotting down a few notes lol
Also, does anybody have suggestions for a good seat to replace the driver and passenger seats with eventually? They aren't comfortable to me, although everybody else who has riden in it thinks they are comfy.

+1 for getting new suspension FIRST. Aftermarket wheels with stock ride height looks like crap and rides like it too. I'd say def. go with a lip kit after the rims. as far as carbon on white, if you've got the money I think it looks beast.
Oh, and for seats, get some integra seats, they can be found for really cheap, they're much more comfortable than those crappy EK seatsand all you need to do to put them in is swap the sliders (I used this link, took me 20mins to do mine http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/F...877/rseat.html)

Thanks, guess I will go read the suspension section of the forums now to learn about them since i know absolutely nothing about suspension lol
So far this is what I am going to have done soon
OEM style fog lights
Si Spoiler
Headlights
I think for christmas I will probably do the suspension and rims/tires because by then i will have more miles on the tires I have now which are almost brand new.

Sounds great man! Just remember that in the winter you'll probably want to ride around on your stock steelies (If you have snow) because wider tires makes it really hard to drive in snow, also all that salt on the road will mess up the finish on your wheels
^ wider tires actually make it easier to drive in the snow... wider tires = larger contact patch = more grip. People take off aftermarket wheels for one of two reasons (or both): the road salt will kill the finish, and usually low-profile tires aren't meant for snow traction; they're usually meant for dry/wet traction. Last spring, when it seemed like the snow was gone for good, I put my 17's back on... a week later, we get absolutely dumped on (about 10"-12" of snow)... that was interesting to drive in.... I had almost no traction because my 205/40's are dry tires (they made for some fun donuts though lol)... though I'm not sure Chester really has to worry about snow seeing as how he lives in florida lol
And I say get a lip kit, wheels, and drop... but just remember: it's what you like, not what other people like. I finally realized that a few months ago... I was building my car up how other people wanted it, not how I wanted it... now, I'm getting parts because I want them, not because others like the parts.
(and for the record, civics have a header
)
