Question Opinions wanted....

Just got my civic about two months ago. It has a few things done to it already, but it needs work. The hood is ruined, im trying to decide if carbon fiber would look good on black, or if I should just stick with a stock black hood. I have some JDM black head lights coming in, but im trying to decide which tail lights to get still. Im kind of stuck and need some opinions/ideas on where to go from here. These are a few ideas I have been thinking about.

- Remove pin striping

- Get a new hood, Carbon Fiber or Black

- New tail lights/ head lights

- Windows retinted

- Wheels powder coated black?

- New Grill

- Front and rear lip

Pics of the car are in my profile.

Welcome to HCF. What year Civic do you have? 2 or 4 door? Auto. or manual? I can't find pics anywhere in your profile. Please, don't make us search for pics, just post them here.

Those headlights are probably not JDM. You have a pic?

- Bye bye pinstriping!
- Stock hood
- 99-00 Civic (50/50's) for tails. You already said you bought headlights, so that's that.
- No comment on tints.
- Just simply get rid of those rims.
- What kind of grill are you looking to buy? I like the Type R style ones.
- Lips = Good

^^Edited b/c nike brought pics in.

BTW, I like the way your trunk looks. Does it affect the amount of stuff you can fit in there since you have to be wary of the sub? Is your window off-track (tape along the top)?

Definately remove pinstripe.... How is the paint on your car? If your paint looks good than a CF Hood can look good..... BUT if your paint has lost its shinyess per say than CF Hood would look stupid...

  • CF Hood is completely PERSONAL Preference.
  • Headlights [LINK]
    • Get some black housing headlights for sure
  • Tailights [LINK]
    • Get OEM Style 99-00 Tailights
  • Are you dead set on those wheels?
    • If you paint them Id suggest a polished lip.
    • Smaller Wheels would look better.

I am not set on the wheels, but they came with the car and I just had a baby about a week ago. So if I want to change those it will be a few.

The paint is almost excellent, but the hood for some reason got ate up by the sun and is ruined.

These are the headlights I have coming, just got them off Ebay, not sure of the quality but they were a lot cheaper then anything else I could find.

Im trying to decide between these two sets of tail lights.

Im working on getting the pin stripes off but I got to wait on my buddy so he can buff it out once I get them off.

I would love a Type R grill, but the front bumper has a hole in it (thats why the bra is on there) so I really need a new one. I don't really like body kits much but I think if I got a stock bumper with the lip it would look good. I just need opinions and suggestions on where to get stuff, and what to do.

I got the car for 3,900 as is. It has 120,000 miles on it and no mechanical problems at all. The interior is nearly perfect.

+1 for everything trust said right there.

The headlights are OEM style black housings, not JDM.

Just realized the tails I posted are cracked. Here's some mint ones...

I have seen those tail lights on a lot of Civic's, I thought they came with them?

As far as lips go, how is the install with those? They all look the same to me, is there a difference?

What about those same lights with the bottom smoked?

Yea, they are 99-00 EX/Si OEM taillights. They are the best looking taillights in the world for 96-00 Coupe.

For the lip I would go with a 99-00 Si OEM Lip... front and rear.

Many times, OEM is best.
