paint car black?
silver and grey (or gray if you're a douche about it) hide dirt and dust the most, thus making your car look cleaner more than any other color. I'd say get some black or dark grey accents though!!
Since I run a custom paint shop here (with 12 years of experience), I would say leave it silver.
You better off reapply some high solid clear coat and sand it flat as in piano finish, make sure all your panels are straight though.
In my point of view, black is the hardest to maintain and they will only look good for a short period of time unless you wax and polish them all the time. Black will also make your car dull and small.

Black is the hardest to maintain true...but it can be done. My paint is 12 years old OEM Granada black pearl...I would say, if you don't have patience, committmentand good car care habits established, leave it silver. Black paint shine and reflections are unparralleled when taken good care of, but can look dull like champ mentioned and reveal more paint defects if not. If you've never had a black car before, then be prepared for more of a daily challenge... [8D]
i think im going to go for it, just cuz its cheap and the tails/headlights im getting will look wayyyy better with a black car then a silver. and black cars look just tight especially with some dark tint, which i already got
