paint job price

ok heres the deal, i am getting a mteallic black paint job on a 92 civic lx which is curr3ently blue, i am putting a polyurethane full body kit, with z3 fenders and adding a simple oem spoiler. one guy is charging me $1100 to do it outside and another guy is charging me $1500 to do it in a booth, who should i go with???

just find someone with a garage and a gun and compressor and do it yourself for about 1/2 the price and it will look just as good

I disagree..I've seen a lot of amatuer paint jobs, and most of them look like complete ***, no matter how nice the equipment was that they used

booth ftw. the reason they do it in the booth is so they dont get any insects, dust or all that crap in the paint when it is wet. if a guy does it outside then all of that extra junk will show up in the paint when its done.

not true about the amateur paint jobs, the actual painting process is not hard, it's just tedious, the real outcome lies in the prep work, and the booth just helps keep junk out of the paint and also helps the curing process.
