The stuff i used dried in 2 hours! But i had an extra valve cover that i had sand blasted long ago but u can pick up valve covers pretty cheap.. D series ones that is.. b series are still sorta pricey but i go this one off of a second motor my dad bought from a kid that burnt up a piston.. luckley we could salvage alot of parts off of it and we ended up saving the block.. we honed it out and now we got spare parts!! all for 275!!! lol Just keep your eyes peeled for good deals!!

how relatively difficult was it to paint the valve cover? also, what is required/needed to do it? i would like to do mine sometime in the future if it's not too difficult and doesn't take much time.
