you need an O2 sensor socket. it is a deep well socket with a cut out in the side for the wire. also, the engine paint you got most likely wont stay on that cover long. it gets pretty hot and i dont think that paint can handle the heat

Just unplug the sensor. If you follow the wires coming out of it I think theres a plug over on the passengers side of the block. Then just take off the heat sheild and pull the plug thru the hole.

I agree with Phil, I don't think there's any paint on the market that will stay on or even stay good lookin on something that gets that hot.

Not that I'm questioning anyone, but it gets over 500F? I mean I know its hot... but 500F is pretty damn hot.

it gets ofer 500F. i tried to check it once with an infrared themometer and it would read up to 525F and the gauge was blank. your best shot is header paint, but it wont be shiny, other than that chrome would be nice but if you are gonna spend that kind of money then you could just get a header

Even if he got it chromed, it would discolor bad enough that it would look like crap.

Alright, alright... jeeze.... lol... just a thought... I appreciate the insights. It just looks like crap and I wanted to put a bandaid on it till I can afford the headers.
