Yeah, I found a genuine black steering wheel. I got lucky.

I have the Skunk2 weighted shift **** in there now. The pictures with the super blinky blue LEDs one is for sale, lol.

Oh, and yeah, I plan on getting ALL genuine black parts at some point, so I just painted the stuff I didn't have for the time being.

i have a white civic i painted my dash white with some black pieces speedo surround vents etc i used plastic primer and normal car paint (same colour as my car) then a thin layer of laquer. the only problem i got is when driving in daylight cos the dash reflects on the windscreen but you get use to it after a while

That seemed to turn out alright but there is a a Dupli-color paint that is called interior paint and thats what I did all my interior and dash with and you can't even tell the difference between my buddies true black interior and my interior. It looks identical to it!!!!! It has held up great and you can use interior wipes and cleaners on it and it doesn't hurt it one bit. Another thing that it is good for is the carpet! Suprisingly it looks the same as stock black carpet and doesn't get all hard and mashed together. Just as good if not better looking than stock! So in the future, anyone wanting to paint there interior a different color, I would recommend Dupli-Color "Interior Paint". It comes in few different interior colors that is "Grade A chit"

Definitely, going from the stock shifter to the heavier blinky one there was a slight difference.
But going from the blinky one to an actual weighted shift ****, there was a huge difference is shifting ease. Shifting is like butter now!!

The only thing that I would worry about with using paint on vinyl is that it may not be able to bend with the vinyl. Now, I know that some dashboards are hard and don't bend so using paint over dye would be just fine. But, my dashboard's vinyl sections are very bendy so that paint is out of the question. The paint can and will crack in time because of the flexing. Now, dye actually penetrates the vinyl and thus can and will flex.
