Polishing alloy rims

Default Polishing alloy rims

anybody know how to polish alloy rims to give them a lot of shine... mines right now shine nice at night time... but during the day are very dull... i want the wet look.. any way i can make them as "chrome like" as possible... ive seen alloys with like a mirror look.. something like that... how can i do that.....

you need to get the polished up or chrome dipped. Unless you have the proper equipment you will have to take these to some professionals.

I'm not too sure on the correct answer to your question, but I do know I've heard of people polishing their rims themselves. I've had friends do it with motorcycles(rims/frame/sub-frame). Take a rough sand paper to it. Keep getting finer on the sand paper, then end up using a buffer/ polishing cloth and some polishing compound. I'm not sure on the exact grits of the paper, just start off rough and get smoother and smoother. I know it does require you to polish the rims like once a month to keep them looking shiny. FWIW.
