Default racing seat set up?

im looking at these racing seats but i dont know how the aftermarket seatbelts will be mounted, because ive seen in magazines that there is this bar behind the seat that straps on to the seatbelt, is it possible to use the seats and seatbelts without doing this?

u can use the regular seat belt with racing seats, the buckle bolts to the railing. i'd highly suggest using the original seatbelt being that it is safer than a multipoint harness believe it or not.

well, i know this is a civic forum, but my accord's seat belts are attached to the seats, so i have to use aftermarket seatbelts
but lets say i use those seats with those seat belts, where would the seatbelts be mounted?
into the ground?

if you get a aftermarket harness, the proper way is to mount it to a harness bar. If you go on the spacro web site I believe they have a diagram on how it should be and why.

would that bar get in the way of anything?
or could passengers still get into the car?

Sparco actually makes harness bars for a lot of cars. you can still carry people in the back seats, they just have to duck to get in

why do you want to use a harness? they are so unpractical for daily driving...
