Racing Seats
I'm looking at racing seats... I don't know squat.
I need seats that will:
1. Fit in my car (99 Civic EX Coupe)
2. Be easy to change back to my OEM seats (with some work, basically not destroying the OEM bracket installing new seats)
3. Holds me in the seat nicely
4. I can use my regular seatbelts with
5. Comfortable (Won't make driving suck)
6. Cheap, but not cheap to the point that they fall apart the next day.
7. Look nice
I'm looking at these... http://www.speedstash.com/dad_seats.html
Is it even possible to use your stock seatbelts with racing seats? Also, that site says it comes with universal sliders but I'll still need mounting brackets... Isn't that was the sliders are for?

I need these questions answered...
1. Can I use my stock seatbelts with the seats or do I NEED a harness?
2. How do these seats look... http://www.shophyperformance.com/sto...ml?id=wTyoabeU
3. If it comes with universal sliders, do I need new brackets to put the seat in and how hard is this to do?

1) Yes, you can use you oem seatbelts with a set of racing sets so long as the clasp isn't attached to the oem seat.
2) Those Matrix seats look OK, in my opinion.
3) Depending on what the company means by "universal" sliders, you may have to drill the floorpan, etc.

but right now i'm sitting around in my underwear because it's my day off.
I might get some S2000 seats if I can find some. I'm pretty sure they're made by Recaro.

what kind of seats do you have?

mine don't meet requirement #6
mine don't meet requirement #6
when I installed mine I just had to take the seatbelt off the stock seat and attach it to the new seat, the bracket had a threaded hole for it and everything.
whatever you do, DON'T use a harness on the street. it is NOT safer than a regular seatbelt
Dont use a harness at all unless you have a roll cage or a bar to attach it to that is level with your shoulders or else you will end up with a crushed/compacted spine in a wreck. Ever thought about getting your stock seats reupholstered?
