Default Reapulstering

My friend just recently reapulstered his door inserts in his Cobalt to blue suede and it looks so good. I have the sh*tty gray/pattern in my 99 DX, so i would really like to do the same thing he did except in black. Is this recommended, or can i just buy the new inserts already apulstered?

Also with my seats, is it possible to just get them totally reapulstered?

And lastly, what material would guy recommend using?

CLICK ME< Thats a thread about the same thing with a link to show you how to do it kinda. But they dont come pre-coverd in different colors. It is hard to get it wrinkle free because of the shape of it. And yes you get get your seats recoverd, but its not cheap at all I warn you. And for fabric, I would say go to a fabric store and check out what they have, what you like. I have been using a fake suede material on the stuff I did in my car. Cheap but its great. Make sure what you get for your inserts is streachy.

Iv heard some bad things about the fabic dye. I have seem some sweet outcomes too, but no one says how long it stays looking good.

I'v used the fabric dye before on my floor mats. It makes it real rough feeling and will only stay decent looking for a month or so if you're lucky. It wears off really easy.

I used some diplicolor black vinyl/fabric spray on my carpet and it turned out great.

yeah those are really expensive Mill$, i looked at that link last night [&:]

maybe i'll check ebay for them. Also i found some black floor mats at Wal-Mart that actaully look really nice.

So with my interior, the door panels all have handles and stuff in them, are they REALLY hard to remove or is it doable? (when i go to get them reapulstered)
