Look at the metal piece in the rear bumper.

Just wondering what its called, what people thought of it, and if they knew where I could pick up the metal piece.

 

i think its stupid, it is thought that it decreases drag cause the honda bumper is so large the air get trapped in it making you slower but unless you got crazy amouts of HP theres no need....they sell those peices online or at car shops... i always see them at englishtown NJ at the events for hondas and imports..but you could jsut get some aluminum and cut holes in that....and in the bumper and maybe save some money but i think is dumb

Id be curious to see a fast civic run with and without that on the track, see if it really does anything..................because it IS ugly.

I wonder, maybe it would also help MPG? If someone could prove it does reduce drag, reduce 1/4 mile times AND add mpg........I might look into it......................when my honda becomes my secondary car.
