Rear Window rattle

Default Rear Window rattle

I have an issue with my rear hatch window on my ek. the window rattles no matter how much packing and rubber tap i put around it? ive heard that ek's have a common issue doesnt anyone have a fix?

Are you sure it's not just a piece of plastic or something like that around the window?

there is a plastic box looking thing that covers the windscreen wiper motor that used to rattle but i have fixed that. its more the door all together

try taking the panel off and shaking the door and see if you can figure out what it is and fix it accordingly. If you can't find it try taking the panel off and gluing felt onto the door structure anywhere that the panel might come in contact with it.

i think it might be the hydrolic arms that hold up the window. they look like they have lost there spring/hold and 90% of the time the window doesnt stay up when you open it. when you pop the hatch should the rear spring open? because mind doesnt.

This may sound stupid, but my liscence plate will rattle a little bit because I've only got one screw, somebody broke of the other one (have to drill that out) , it stays on and straight, it just wants to rattle. I would make sure it's not that before you do anything drastic.
