i used goo gone to take of the dealer sticker took me 5 minutes i used that and my fingernail b/c i was afraid of scratching paint

yeah, 5th gens have stickers.

my DX one came off once in a carwash.[&:]

If you dont have goo gone...WD-40 Gets the stickers off...just spray it on and if you are afraid of scratching your paint, just spray it on and wipe the lettering off. A good thing about WD-40 is that it wont ruin your paint or leave behind any residue and you can just wash it off when your done. [:-]

Any thoughts on where I can get a 'Civic' and 'Ex' Badge once I get the stickers off?

Acutally I could only find two 'Civic's on Ebay, and no 'EX's... and two Civics were in Britian, so I'd really rather stay domestic if at all possible.

Any other suggestions?

you will have to search for a later year. Decide whether you like the 6th gen or 7th gen design. (they are different, look at the V)

you could always try a salvage yard. youd get them cheap too!

Yeah, I was a bit surprised at the cost... Although the new ones are a bit cheaper.
